Chazy Youth Hockey to hold meeting

CHAZY — Chazy Youth Hockey will hold its monthly meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Scotts Rink in Chazy.

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Youth Hockey board meeting will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at AC North. The meeting is open to the public.

Stick ‘n’ Puck,

public skating schedule announced

PLATTSBURGH — Stick ‘n’ Puck will be held this Friday from 7- 9:30 p.m. and public skating will be Sunday from 4:45-5:45 p.m. at AC North.

Rosi Cummings receives All-SUNYAC volleyball honors

CORTLAND — Plattsburgh State senior hitter Rosi Cummings has been named to the State University of New York Athletic Conference Second Team. Cummings earned the recognition for the second-straight year after leading a Cardinal squad with 307 kills and 451 digs. She also finished seventh in the conference digs per set with 3.89 and eighth with 2.65 kills per set. During the New York State Challenge, she set career high 24 kills against Mount Saint Mary. The Cardinals ended their season at 13-20.

Jay/Black Brook Youth Commission accepting winter sports registration

JAY— The Jay/Black Brook Youth Commission is holding registrations for the upcoming winter sports season. Basketball will be offered for youths grades 1-6. Sign-ups will be held at the Jay Community Center Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Nov. 15 from 6-7:30 p.m. Forms are also available at the Jay and Black Brook town offices.

Skiing and snowboarding at Whiteface Mountain is available for youths ages 8 and up and adult chaperones. The seven-session program runs on Sundays and includes a two-hour lesson. The child season price is $124 and the adult price is $228. Equipment rentals are available for an additional cost. Anyone wishing to participate must attend one sign-up session at the Jay Community Center. The first sign-up is Thursday, Nov. 15 from 6-7:30 p.m. and the other is Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m.-noon.
