PLATTSBURGH — The Press-Republican is currently collecting photos for all First-Team All-Stars from the fall season.

All coaches should send in a photo of their athlete, including MVP and Coach of the Year, as soon as possible. Also needed are small write ups about all All-Stars from the season.

Please send all information to sports@pressrepublican.com. Teams will begin running this week.

AuSable Chasm trails free on Thanksgiving weekend

AUSABLE CHASM — To celebrate Thanksgiving, AuSable Chasm will be offering free trail admissions to see its famous rock formations and waterfalls Nov. 23, 24, and 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The AuSable Chasm Campground and Recreation Center will also be offering free admissions to the mountain bike, ski trails, and disc golf course. Raudenbush member of national championship team

CLEARWATER, Fla. — On November 10, the Clearwater Christian College women’s soccer team won the National Christian Colleges Athletic Association (NCCAA) national championship. The Cougars clinched a 4-1 victory over Baptist Bible College and won their first ever national title. Also, during regular season play, the Cougars outscored their NCCAA D-II opponents 61-2, with 12 shutouts. Bethany Raudenbush of Dannemora played defender for the 2012 Cougars. A junior Pre-Med major at CCC, she is a graduate of Saranac Central High School and the daughter of Russel and Pamela Raudenbush of Dannemora.

Rod and Gun Club hosting NRA Smallbore Prone Rifle Match

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Rod and Gun Club, will be hosting an NRA Smallbore Prone Rifle Match Saturday, Dec. 1. NRA Membership is not required, and equipment is available for loan. To register for the event or learn about more shooting opportunities at the club, contact Norbert Yakey at 298-5161.

PHS fall awards, winter sports meeting scheduled

PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh High School will hold its Fall Sports Awards, Monday Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. in the Senior High Auditorium. All team members and parents are requested to attend. The Varsity Black Letter winners will also be recognized. PHS is also hosting its winter sports meeting Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. in the Senior High Auditorium. Parents can meet the new athletics coordinator as well as meet the coaches. Season expectations and Code of Conduct information will also be provided.
