A-C North announces ice time

PLATTSBURGH — Ameri-Can North Sports Center will offer stick ‘n’ puck Tuesday (6-7:30 p.m.), Friday (5:30-7 p.m.) and Sunday (3:30-5 p.m.).

Public skating will be offered on Sunday from 2-3:30 p.m.

Hilts aces seventh hold at Barracks

PLATTSBURGH — Devin Hilts had a hole-in-one at The Barracks Golf Course June 7.

Hilts used a 9-iron to ace the 145-yard seventh hole. His team of Wendy Reil, Dean Rabideau and Debbie Flemming witnessed it.

Davis, Griffin qualify for NYS amateur state event

MALONE — Ed Davis and Arthur Griffin qualified at the New York State amateur qualifier over the weekend at Malone Golf Club.

Davis finished first with a 68, while Griffin took second with a 73. Graham Niles (74) and Nick Politi (75) rounded out the top four.

Davis and Griffin have qualified for the states, which will be played July 21-24 at Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse.

Volleyball Summer League set to begin July 2

SARANAC — Volleyball Summer League will take place on Wednesdays starting July 2 for six weeks at the Saranac Central School gymnasium from 6-8 p.m. for high school volleyball players.

Check with your high school coach about your school entering a team. Individual players may also sign up.

There is an entry fee of $25 per player that includes a t-shirt. Any questions, contact Vickie McMillan at or 593-1397.

Golf clinics to begin June 30 at Saranac Inn

SARANAC LAKE — Golf clinics will be held at the Saranac Inn starting June 30. Kids’ clinics will be held for five weeks from 9-10 a.m., while ladies’ clinics will take place from 1030-11:30 a.m. for five weeks.

Lessons that will be covered ar the golf swing, rules and etiquette for all levels of golfers. To sign up, call 891-1402.

Summer Match Play accepting golfers

PLATTSBURGH — The Barracks Golf Course will be conducting its member summer match play tournament.
