Busch Bash golf tourney postponed

ROUSES POINT — The 2014 Busch Bash, scheduled for noon today at the North Country Golf Club, has been postponed until noon on June 20 due to the recent inclement weather.

Teams are asked to contact the golf club to confirm their spots. For more information, call the NCGC at 297-2582.

Chateaugay Fun Run set for Saturday

CHATEAUGAY — The second-annual Chateaugay 10K Fun Run will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Chateaugay Volunteer Fire Department, 2 Lake Street.

Entry fee is $20; attendees can register the day of the event or visit their Facebook page. Bikers, walkers and runners are all welcome. Proceeds benefit the Vans for Veterans organization.

Local anglers competing in NYTBF

PLATTSBURGH — Many local anglers will be fishing in the NYTBF (New York The Bass Federation) tournament Saturday out of the Point au Roche launch inside the state park. This is a state-level tournament in a tour that sends someone to the TBF national championship every year with the opportunity to move on to the BFL All-American championship and the Forrest Wood Cup world championship.

Anglers will take off at safe light and weigh in at 2 p.m.

St. Joseph’s Renovation Tournament Aug. 8

PLATTSBURGH — The fourth-annual St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Building Renovation Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 8 at the Barracks Golf Course. The tournament is a four-person scramble, and the cost of $60 per person includes golf, cart and a meal. Contact Deacon Ed Mazuchowski at 563-0828 for more information.

Mariners in three tourneys this weekend

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Mariners’ senior, junior and 14U teams will be competing in tournaments on the road this weekend.

The senior team will take part in the Malone Post #219 Border Wars Tournament today, Saturday and Sunday.

The Mariners (2-1) will play the Montreal Rockies at 6:15 p.m. tonight at Veterans Field. Saturday, the Mariners oppose the Montreal Titans at noon at Veterans Field and then the Montreal Orioles at 4:15 p.m. at the Franklin Academy Field. Sunday’s schedule will be determined by what happens today and Saturday. The teams will be seeded for a game on Sunday, with a championship game also to be played.
