Bluff Point Junior Golf Camp to begin June 24

PLATTSBIRGH — The Bluff Point Junior Golf Camp will start June 24 with registration at the range at 9 a.m. Boys and girls ages 10 to 18 are invited to participate in the six-week instructional program. Membership applications are available in the Bluff Point Pro Shop.

Team Puffy takes Carpenter tourney

PLATTSBURGH — The Seton Catholic Booster Club held the Carpenter Memorial Golf Tournament at The Barracks. A total of seven skins were awarded.

All proceeds went to the Seton Catholic Booster Club.

Placid Soccer Centre to hold camps

CANTON— The Lake Placid Soccer Centre will hold both overnight and day soccer camps in July in Canton and Lake Placid.

The overnight camps will take place July 14 to 20 and July 21 to 27 at St. Lawrence University in Canton. There will also be an overnight camp held at the Lake Placid Elementary School July 8 to 12.

A day camp will also take place July 8 to 12 at the Lake Placid Elementary School.

Boys and girls 5 to 18 years old are encouraged to attend. Sign up and get more information at lakeplacidsoccer.com.

Paine Memorial Library golf tourney set for July 13

WILLSBORO— The Willsboro Golf Course will host the 17th golf scramble to benefit the Paine Memorial Library on July 13. The cost is $50 and includes 18 holes, cart, food and prizes. Tee times are set at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The tournament will be for teams of men, women and true mix (two men, two women). To reserve a spot, call Willsboro Golf Club at 963-8989.

Shaughnessy commits to Clinton

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton Community College Athletic Department announced Tuesday that Jesse Shaughnessy, a senior at Schroon Lake Central School, has decided to attend Clinton Community College in the fall.
