The runs are for youth of all ages and their parents. Ages six and under will run a quarter-mile distance. Ages seven to 10 will run one-half mile. Ages 11 to 14 will run one mile.
The run is free, and there will be warm-up stretching and running tips for the participants. For further information, please call the Youth Bureau at 565-4750.
Brady Frazier Softball Tourney set for July 13-14
ST. REGIS FALLS — The third-annual Brady Frazier Memorial Scholarship Softball Tournament will be held July 13 and 14 in St. Regis Falls. It will be a co-ed (five guys, five girls), three-pitch tournament with a double-elmination format. Cost is $125 per team. Twelve teams have been confirmed already and as many as possible will be accepted. There will be prizes, raffles, concession stand and music. Over 200 runners compete in Cadyville fun run
CADYVILLE — Over 200 runners came out to participate in week two of the Cadyville Fun Run Series held on June 26.
Jeremy Drowne won the 5K in 17:20 and Kelly Duffy-Coryer was the first female finisher in 20:33. Caleb Moore won the one-mile run in 6:32, Louis Sweenor the one-half mile run in 3:43 and Grace Willmott the one-quarter mile run in 2:00.
The fun runs, sponsored by the Town of Plattsburgh and CVPH, are held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at the Cadyville Recreation Center. Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. and is free and open to runners of all ages and abilities.
