Basketball signups Nov. 5 for Jay/Black Brook

JAY — The Jay/Black Brook Youth Commission will be holding signup for basketball on Nov. 5 from 6-7 p.m. in the meeting room at the Jay Community Center.

Children in grades 1-6 who live in Jay, Black Brook or Wilmington are eligible to play.

If unable to attend, contact Austin Depo at 420-3772. Additional forms are available at the Jay and Black Brook town offices.

Brooks takes first in Jail Break Trail marathon

DANNEMORA — Stacey Brooks captured the full marathon run in 4 hours, 33 minutes at the Jail Break Trail marathon held on Oct. 13.

The race raised $1,000, which was donated to a local family with a member that is suffering from breast cancer.

Matt Medeiros cross first during the half marathon in a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes. Sara Dunham took second in 1 hour, 22 minutes.

Stan Hatch was first in the Ultra marathon in 5 hours, 48 minutes.

Outbackriders meeting Nov. 11

MORRISONVILLE — The Outbackriders ATV Club will be holding its monthly meeting Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Conservation Building on the Clinton County Fairgrounds. All are welcome to attend.
