---- — Plattsburgh State lists fall ball schedule

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State men’s baseball team will hold its fall ball day on Sunday at Chip Cummings Field.

There will be three games in all, with Kris Doorey’s Plattsburgh squad starting off the day with a 10 a.m. contest against St. Michael’s College. The Purple Knights are coached by former Plattsburgh pitching coach Matt Rodovick.

Approxmiately 20 minutes following the conclusion of the first game, St. Michael’s will oppose Adirondack Community College. Plattsburgh and Adirondack C.C. will then play 20 minutes following the St. Michael’s/Adirondack game.

There is no admission charge for fans.

Siberian Rod & Gun Club bottle drive Oct. 10-12

ELLENBURG DEPOT — The Siberian Rod & Gun Club will host a bottle drive to benefit its new firing range from Oct. 10-12.

Those interested can drop off bottles at Maggy’s Pharmacy in Dannemora, Siberian’s redemption box or the loading platform.

Final Fun Run results listed

PLATTSBURGH — Forty-four runners made their way to Cumberland Bay State Park Oct. 8th for the final Fun Run of the Fall Series hosted by the Clinton County Youth Bureau.

The Youth Bureau would like to recognize their Elite Runners for the 2013 Fall Season; Benjamin Bezio, Samuel Bezio, Ayla Blaise, Abigail Carter, Andrew Carter, Morgan Hall, Haley LaDue, Ben Lambert, Béla Meyer, Luca Meyer, Logan Rodriguez, Kade Sellars, Mazie Sellars, Emma Slattery, Micah Slattery and Rowan Wood for attending all five races.

The Youth Bureau would also like to thank coaches Jack and Gayle Wilson and helpers Miss Cassie and Miss Sonya for their support this season. Any youth who participated this fall but was not present at the last run may pick up their certificate in the Youth Bureau Office, Located at 135 Margaret Street, Suite 203, Plattsburgh Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

‘Pink Hair For Hope’ hosted by PSU softball

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State Softball team will be hosting a charity event for breast cancer called Pink Hair For Hope and stylists from Sassy Images will be putting in pink hair extensions for $10 for anyone interested.

It will be held on the campus in the Angell College Center in the Alumni Conference Room. It will be Oct. 23rd from 12-3 p.m. All are encouraged to stop by even if they do not want the hair extension they can make a donation to support “The Treasure Chest” which is a local organization for breast cancer.
