---- — Jingle Bell Jog, Fun Run Dec. 7

AUSABLE FORKS — The Jingle Bell Jog and Fun Run will take place in AuSable Forks Dec. 7.

The Jingle Bell Fun Run, which is approximately three-quarters of a mile, is free for kids ages 4 to10 and starts at 12:30 p.m. as part of the Christmas in the Forks celebration.

The Jingle Bell Jog, which is approximately 2.5 miles and for teens and adults, begins at 12:45 p.m. and has a participation fee of $10.

All proceeds from the Jingle Bell Jog will benefit the Hollywood Theatre and the Go Digital or Go Dark campaign. Those interested can sign up for each event beginning at 11:45 a.m. at the Jay Community Center.

Both runs require each participant to pick up s’mores ingredients along the route and finish back at the Community Center where there will be a fire pit to toast them up.

Turkey Trot Walk/Run benefits food pantries, Fit for Life program

SARANAC LAKE — The 5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot Walk and Run will benefit local food pantries and Adirondack Health’s Fit for Life program.

This flat 5K Walk/Run starts at 8:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving at the Lake Placid Olympic Oval and circles around Mirror Lake to end back at the Oval.

Participants can pre-register by Nov. 26 for $25 and groups of four for $75. Registration is $30 the day of the race. Participants ages 12 and under can join at no cost.

Race day registration closes promptly at 8 a.m.

Turkey Trotters, who bring three non-perishable food items to donate to local food pantries, will receive a $5 reduction on the entry fee.

Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third overall male and female finishers. There are additional prizes for anyone who finishes the Trot ahead of the mystery Turkey runner, outfitted in feathers.

Fly Like an Eagle 5K Fun Run results

WESTPORT — The Fly Like an Eagle Fun Run took place at Westport Central School Nov. 16.

Jonathan Gay was the overall winner, finishing the event in 17 minutes and 28 seconds. Linda Sherman was the highest-finishing female, clocking in at 27:24.

Ameri-Can North Sports Center announces schedule

PLATTSBURGH — The Ameri-Can North Sports Center has announced its weekend schedule.

There will be no stick-n-puck session this week due to a full hockey schedule.

A public skating session, however, will occur from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Sunday.
