Town of Champlain holding sport registration
CHAMPLAIN — The Town of Champlain, along with the villages of Rouses Point and Champlain, will continue registration through March 12.
Sign-up sheets are available at all local schools along with the Children’s Learning Center. Forms are also available on the nccscougar.org website under community events or any of the village or town’s websites.
A copy of each child’s birth certificate is required (if not previously provided) along with the signed registration forms.
If you do not register by March 12, you may have to be placed on a waiting list. Teams are determined by the actual registrations received by that date. Please make sure you sign your child up.
T-ball- Co-ed. Ages: 5-6 year olds. Season: one month usually in June or July.
Baseball (boys), softball (girls)- Season: May through July. Ages: grasshopper 7-9; Peewee 10-12; Pony 13-16. For more information, contact Jan Letourneau at 297-6921.
Reading- Coed. Ages: 5-12. Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 91-0 a.m. (5-8 year olds) and 10-11 a.m. (9 years and up) to be held at the Rouses Point Public Library.
Tennis- Coed for ages 8 and up. Held twice weekly July-Aug. For more info, contact Linda Fredette at 297-6824.
Arts & Crafts- Ages: 8 and up. Two, two hour classes weekly Mondays and Thursdays held at the RP Civic Center from July 7-July 31. For more info, contact Linda Fredette at 297-6824.
Swimming- Red Cross Instructional program for ages 5 and up. Two, three-week sessions held Mon.-Fri. from July 7-Aug.15 at the NCCS high school pool. For more information, contact Chelsea Cayea at firstname.lastname@example.org.
