Special Olympics basketball, swim practice announced
KEESEVILLE — Practices will begin for the Clinton/Essex County Special Olympics basketball team and skills program on March 18 at the Keeseville Elementary school gym at 6:30 p.m. For more information contact Cathy Taylor at 561-8190.
The Clinton/Essex Special Olympics swim program will begin practice on March 5 at 6:30 p.m. at AuSable Valley Central school pool. Practices will be held on Wednesdays and will continue through May.

Curling Tournament rescheduledfor March 8
PLATTSBURGH — The Curling Tournament at the American Legion Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh has been rescheduled for Saturday March 8. Practice is set to begin at 8 a.m. and the tournament will begin at 9 a.m.
The entry fee is $40 and no experience is necessary for the tournament.
Adirondack Mountainmenhost tryouts
TICONDEROGA — Tryouts for the Adirondack Mountainmen AAU boys’ basketball teams will be held March 16th March 18th.
The tryout is open to boys’ ages 12 to 17 that still have high school eligibility. There is a $35 tryout fee.
This year’s tournament schedule will include stops at the War on the Floor tournament in the Lake George region, the Can-Am Classic in Potsdam, the Lake Champlain Lakers tournament in Plattsburgh, the Jam Fest in Syracuse, the Mountainman Classic in Ticonderoga as well as regional games in the immediate area.

Leta, Champagne compete at USATF Championships
TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Area track athletes Ashley Leta and Margaret Champagne competed unattached at the USATF Northeast Zone Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex in Toms River, N.J., Feb. 22 and 23.
