Rough Riders place second

PLATTSBURGH — The Rough Riders Rifle Team came in fourth place, overall, and second in the Eastern Division, in Week 3 of the Vermont Winter Postal League.

Peter Visconti fired a 395 and currently has the second-highest average out of 115 league shooters. Andrew Visconti was the top junior shooter on the team with a 383. Both father and son were named to this week’s Eastern Division All-Star Team.

Moira Fire Dept. to hold annual bowling tourney

MOIRA — The Moira Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department will be holding its annual 9-pin bowling tournament at Big D’s bowling alley on March 8-9, 15-16 and 22-23. Squad times are at noon and 3 p.m.

Steele rolls 300 game at North Bowl Lanes

PLATTSBURGH — Steve Steele, subbing for North Bowl Restaurant in the Industrial League at North Bowl Lanes, tossed a 300 game on Thursday, Feb. 13. Steele has a 221 average and finished the evening with a 300-214-269-783 series.

Bowling meeting/awards program Feb. 23

ROUSES POINT — The Northern Adirondack USBC Bowling Association’s

8th-Annual Meeting/Awards Presentation will be held at the Bowl Mart Lanes at 11 a.m. Feb. 23. It is opened to all NA USBC members — adults and youth.

The meeting will include Committee Reports, Election of Officers/Directors and

Delegates, Special Awards Distribution and Annual Tournament Awards

Distribution (both youth and adult), followed by a 9-pin tournament that includes

adult doubles and youth singles.
