Arnold records ace at Harmony
PORT KENT — Nick Arnold recorded a hole-in-one at Harmony Golf Club on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
Arnold connected on the par 3 7th hole using a 3-iron. Witnesses were Casey Kennedy, Caleb Remillard and Kyle Wenig.
Reorganization for Franklin CYO basketball league
MALONE — The Franklin CYO Basketball League is reorganizing for the 2012-2013 season. The upcoming season is the 47th in the leagues history. Current plans call for eight to 10 teams in the varsity division, and four to six teams in the JV/Splinter division. The league is for high-school youths ages 13-19 who are not on any varsity or junior varsity high school basketball team.
Anyone interested in entering or re-entering a team should contact Ken Cring as soon as possible at 483-2221 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Nov. 15. The planned starting date for the league is the second Saturday in December.
PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department is conducting registration for the winter youth basketball program. The program is open to girls and boys in grades three through six who live in the Town of Plattsburgh. Practices will begin during the first week of December and will either be after school or in the evenings, depending on gym availability. Games will be on Saturdays for eight weeks beginning Jan. 5.
Registration forms can be downloaded from our website at www.townofplattsburghrecreation.com or you may stop by the Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Office at 151 Banker Road. All three to six grade registration forms are due by Nov. 2. Any late registrations will be put on a waiting list with no guarantee of being placed on a team. If a birth certificate is not on file with us you must submit a copy with the registration form for each participant.
