Saranac Boosters re-schedule meeting
SARANAC — The Saranac Booster Club meeting has been re-scheduled to next Monday, November 9, at 7 p.m. at the high school.

Junior Cardinals peewees win twice
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Junior Cardinals peewee hockey team won two games this past weekend.

Saturday, the peewees recorded a 5-0 win over the St. Lawrence Thunder as T.J. Oricchio, Michael Stetz, Harry Jacobs and Bailey Conklin each had a goal and assist. Kyle Constanty also scored a goal, while Jonathan Plessis-Belair posted the shutout in net as the Junior Cardinals held a 27-9 shot advantage.

Sunday, the peewees edged out a 3-2 victory over the Burlington Bobcats.

Conklin scored the first two goals, with Colin Giroux getting the assist on the first, and Jacobs and Ryan Whalen on the second. With the score tied, at 2-all, and 2:20 left in the contest, Constanty blacked a pass and went in on a breakaway to score the game-winning goal.

Belair was especially strong in net as the Bobcats held a 32-19 edge in shots on goal.

The peewees improved their record to 7-1 overall.

Strikers go unbeaten in soccer tourney
ALBANY — The Mooers Strikers U-10 boys' soccer team went undefeated in the Afrim's Halloween Tournament with an 8-0 win over Galway Mixed, a 3-2 victory over Fulton United, a 7-1 decision over Amsterdam, a 6-0 win over Galway Mixed in the semifinals and a 3-2 victory over Fulton United, rallying from a 2-0 deficit, in the finals.

Team members include Nick LaDue, Jamie Rabideau, Holden Nieves, Kyle Vassar, Andrew Nolette, and Dylan Grennon.

The coach is Alfie LaDue and the team is sponsored by Rick Lamberton, of Jreck Subs.
