Motorsports Magazine to run today
PLATTSBURGH -- Motorsports Magazine's Airborne Speedway preview show will run today on Hometown Cable/Charter Cable Channel 15 at 10 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. for two hours. The show will also run on Channel 24 Time Warner at 3 a.m., 7 a.m. 11 a.m., 3 p.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Included will be the August 2007 race card, interviews with track promoter Mike Perrotte, as well as drivers Jason Bonnett, Brian Rogers and Modified standout Patrick Dupree.
Babe Ruth tryouts Saturday
PLATTSBURGH -- Babe Ruth tryouts will be held Saturday at South Acres field from 3-5:30 p.m. All currently registered players entering their first year of Babe Ruth are required to attend. Players should plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to tryout time. If you have any questions or conflicts, please call Loren Latulipe at 566-9109.
Softball regional tickets on sale
PLATTSBURGH -- Tickets for the NCAA Division III Softball Regional Tournament at Plattsburgh State will be sold at the gate. Tickets are $5 each day for adults and $2 for students, senior citizens and children under 12. All-session tournament passes will also be available for $15 for adults and $6 for the other groups.
The tournament begins at 10 a.m. today.
Bicycle time trials to begin May 14
POINT AU ROCHE -- The 5- and 10-mile bicycle time trials will begin Wednesday, May 14 and continue throughout the spring and summer on Wednesday nights, starting from the Point au Roche Fire Station. The event is informal and open to all novice and experienced riders. Helmets are mandatory and all riders must obey the rules of the road.
Registration starts around 5:30 p.m. with the first rider going out at 6 p.m.
Chazy Soccer Camp set for July 7-11
CHAZY -- The Chazy Summer Soccer Camp is scheduled for July 7-11 at Chazy Central Rural School. It will run from 9 a.m.-noon each day and is for boys and girls ages 4-15. The cost is $65 each. For more information, contact Rob McAuliffe, at 846-3700.
B'town Jump Camp holding sign-ups
BEEKMANTOWN -- The 8th-Annual Beekmantown Booster Club Jump Camp will be held June 23-August 11 at Beekmantown High School for athletes entering grades 7-12 for the 2008-09 school year.
