AuSable Valley defeats NAC in CVAC volleyball

---- — ELLENBURG — Noelle Miller slammed a team-high 11 kills and added five points and five digs as AuSable Valley beat Northern Adirondack in three straight games in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference volleyball Wednesday.

The Patriots eked out 26-24 and 25-23 wins before earning a more comfortable 25-16 victory in the decisive game.

Miranda Sheffer contributed 11 points and 16 digs for AuSable Valley, and Mirissa O’Neill had seven points, 10 kills and 17 digs. Belle O’Toole chipped in 10 digs and 19 assists, and Alexandra Lincoln had 15 digs.

Northern Adirondack’s Shonni Velasquez totaled seven points, six kills and nine digs, while Zoey Varin had 11 digs and six points. MacKenzie Fountain added seven points and seven assists, and Emma Trombley had 10 digs.

LAKE PLACID — Emily Anderson served eight aces among her 14 points and put down eight kills to lead the Eagles past the Blue Bombers.

Shannon Ryan had 10 points and 11 kills for Beekmantown. Evelyn Vicencio added eight points and eight assists, and Michaela LaFountain chipped in 16 assists.

Serina Hayes paced Lake Placid with four kills and five assists.

Amanda Tallon led Northeastern Clinton with six digs and five assists, and Stephanie LaValley chipped in six digs, three points and two kills.
