---- — Town of Ellenburg hosts boys, girls basketball signups
ELLENBURG —The Town of Ellenburg will be holding signups for third and fourth grade, and fifth and sixth grade boys’ and girls’ basketball at the Town Hall in Ellenburg from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 and 24.
If those interested have not shown proof of age in past, they will have to do so at the time of signups. All students in the Northern Adirondack Central School district are eligible to play.

NRA Air Rifle Match Thursday
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Rod and Gun Club will be hosting an NRA 40 Shot Air Rifle Match.
The match can be fired Thursday at 6:30 p.m. or Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. The club has all the equipment, including the competition air rifle for shooters to borrow.
The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students.

PLATTSBURGH — Phoebe Christopher registered the game-winning assist for Seton Catholic in its 1-0 win over AuSable Valley Friday.
Incorrect information was given to Press-Republican, crediting Maddy Murnane with the assist in Saturday’s edition.
Guys and Gals Bowling League looking for bowlers
PLATTSBURGH — The Guys and Gals Bowling League is looking for senior bowlers who are interested in bowling Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m.

Ameri-Can North Sports Centerannounces schedule
PLATTSBURGH — The Ameri-Can North Sports Center has announced its schedule for Friday and Sunday.
Stick-N-Puck will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, while a public skating session will occur from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
North Country Center for Independence seeks Frisbee golf players
CADYVILLE — The North Country Center for Independence is looking for Frisbee golf players old and new.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cadyville Park Nov. 2, it will be holding its first Frisbee Terror Tourney.
Registration is $20 (tax deductible donation) per person for teams of two. Any age may play and Frisbees will be provided for those that do not have them.
The tournament is limited to 36 teams.

SLYBA begins next month
SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Youth Basketball Association is designed to provide boys’ and girls’ grades K-6 an opportunity to learn the game of basketball and most importantly have fun while doing so.
Grades three through six will be competing in games against other teams and schools. The schedule is yet to be announced, but the season will run November through February with games Wednesdays and Saturday.
Signups for the SLYBA will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday November 2nd from 1-2 PM and Wednesday November 6th from 5-6 PM. Grades K-2 the cost will be $30 and grades 3-6 will be $50. Both sessions will be held in the Petrova Elementary cafeteria gym. Algonquin Chapter walks Point Au Roche State Park
PLATTSBURGH — The Algonquin Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club will celebrate the end of Daylight Savings Time with a walk around Point Au Roche State Park followed by a chili supper Nov. 3.
