Mihal sends Plattsburgh over No. 18 Saranac Lake in boys' NSL

PLATTSBURGH — Kaden Baugh scored the game’s lone tally as the Knights picked up their second consecutive win over the Lions.

“I credit Elizabethtown-Lewis and its midfield,” Seton Catholic coach Mike Eppler said. “They controlled the midfield in the second half, and they totally shut us down. Joel Morris, Caleb Denton, Hugh Harwood and stopper Trevor Brooks were outstanding.”

Baugh scored with 17:02 gone in the first half. After making a run across midfield, he received a one-time feed from Noah Osborne. Baugh buried the low shot into the far corner of the goal.

Keagan Briggs was credited with the win in net for the Knights, making nine saves.

Justin LaPier totaled five saves for Elizabethtown-Lewis.

Chazy 2, Westport 0

WESTPORT — Zach Brothers and Alex Rabideau each scored first-half goals in Chazy’s Division II win.

“Chazy pressured Westport early and had 11 of its 15 shots on goal in the first half,” Westport coach Michael Davis said. “Sam Napper had an excellent day in goal for Westport. After the first 20 minutes of the first half, the Westport defense tightened up.”

Brothers put Chazy on the board at 14:00 of the first half. Alec Lapierre helped setup the tally.

Then, Rabideau extended Chazy’s differential to two goals, sending home Hayden Guay’s corner kick at 15:44.

Austin Gravelle secured the shutout for Chazy with four saves.

CROWN POINT — Austin Armstrong’s golden goal at 9:25 of double overtime helped the Wildcats to a one-goal defeat of the Panthers.
