Power play carries Sweden past USA

LAKE PLACID — Team Sweden converted on four of its 10 power plays in exhibition play at the USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp, ousting the Americans, 4-1.

Anton Lander, Calle Jarnkrok and William Wallen each scored midway through the second period to take a 3-0 lead in a span of 2:15, and Patrick Cehlin netted a goal with 13:43 remaining in the third period to put the game out of reach.

Zach Budish scored USA's lone goal later in the period to prevent the shutout.

Zane Gothberg was in net for USA, which defeated Sweden, 6-3, earlier in the week.

USA is slated to face Finland today. The Americans got the best of Finland Wednesday in a 6-3 decision.
