CLINTONVILLE — Brody Douglass eclipsed 1,000 career points as AuSable Valley defeated Ticonderoga, 64-27, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys' basketball Tuesday.

Douglass, who entered the game with 995, scored 16 points for the Patriots. He moved past 1,000 points about midway through the first quarter in a span of about 10 seconds.

Douglass knocked down a free throw for his 1,000th point, bringing on a momentary pause in game action as coach Jamie Douglass, also his uncle, presented him with the game ball.
