Peru 56, Beekmantown 50

PERU — The Indians had 28 steals and finished with a balanced offensive effort to knock off the Eagles.

Bret Boyer led the charge for Peru with 10 points, 11 rebounds and five steals, while Tim Remillard chipped in nine points. Mackenzie LaRocque tallied eight points, and Conor Casey and Tyler Lemza each had seven. Casey added six steals, and Hunter Bruno had five.

“At halftime we had 14 steals and finished with 28,” Indians coach John Clemons said. “I thought Mackenzie LaRocque and Boyer did a great job defending (Keegan) Ryan. They limited his shots and put him on the free-throw line.

“LaRocque played extremely well in the second half. This was just a great team win for us on Senior Night.”

Ryan finished with a game-high 22 points for Beekmantown, 14 of those coming from the foul line. Justin Stevens chipped in eight points.

Plattsburgh 55, Saranac Lake 48

SARANAC LAKE — Garrett Frady scored five points in the last two minutes to help lead the Hornets over the Red Storm.

Plattsburgh held a one-point lead with two minutes left in the fourth quarter when Frady buried a 3-pointer and connected on a layup to take the wind out of Saranac Lake’s sails.
