The Knights outscored the Eagles by a 43-23 margin in the second half, including 17 fourth-quarter points from Adam Tedford, for a 66-60 upset in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference play.

“It was a great team effort and a great win for us,” said Knights’ coach Larry Converse.

Beekmantown, with Greg Manney scoring 14 points in a 23-10 second-quarter run, took a 14-point halftime advantage.

But Tedford, who scored 25 points in all, led a second-half Seton Catholic comeback that also featured some clutch baskets by David LaFountain.

“We went up by one point with about two minutes left and then they scored,” Converse said. “Tedford, who took control of the game, later hit a 3-pointer to give us a four-point lead and they were never able to get closer the rest of the way.”

Tedford, in the fourth quarter alone, hit three 3-pointers, one 2-pointer and went 6-of-8 from the foul line.

Kaden Baugh chipped in with 16 points and eight assists for Seton Catholic, and Keagen Briggs contributed 10 points.

“Baugh’s our point guard and he didn’t have a turnover in the entire second half,” said Converse. “That was big for us and a key why we won the game.”

Keegan Ryan paced the Eagles with 25 points, while Manney finished with 16 and Nikolas Koktowski, eight.
