Hornets defeat Larries in Norwood-Norfolk tourney

(Continued)

NORWOOD —

Albany Academy’s Adrienne Phelps notched the game at one a piece with just 48 seconds elapsed in the middle stanza.

Senior Alexis Guay made it 2-1 Beekmantown at the 4:13 mark before Amanda Peterson and Raville would add insurance goals later in the contest.

“I was pleased with the effort from our first line,” Eagles coach Ray Guay said. “Defensively, we stepped up after the first period. Kayleigh Bell was stout in net, fending off 10 of 11 shots faced. Everyone contributed and it was a well-balanced attack.”
