Peru's Bowman tosses 800 series against Huskies

PLATTSBURGH — Jonathan Bowman was close to perfection in his first two games Wednesday and finished with his first-ever 800 series — a 277-279-247-803 — in the Peru boys’ 6-4 loss to Franklin Academy in non-league bowling at North Bowl Lanes.

Bowman did roll his first 300 game on November 26, 2012.

Nate Tuller added a 269 game and 576 triple for the Indians.

Darren Taylor paced the Huskies with a 257-223-656 series, while Jon Brown added a 214-204-581 and Michael McDonald a 245 game and 564 set.

Franklin Academy also won the girls’ match, 3-1, with Aimee Fleury leading the way with a 226-204-582 series and Brooke Peck a 193-194-545.

Brittany Bushey rolled a 174-179-517 for Peru, while Morgan Reyell followed with a 182-188-509.

PLATTSBURGH — Taylor Lavalley tossed a 220-225-627 series at North Bowl Lanes to power the first-place Beekmantown girls to a sweep in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference.

Paedyn Mattioli added a 200 game and 555 triple, and Harley Wells a 211 game and 531 series for the Eagles.

Gabi Yeager and Kaitlyn Arthur both rolled 183 games for the Warriors and Yeager had a team-high 518 triple.

Leading the way for the first-place Beekmantown boys in their sweep were Matt Dwyer with a 201-231-234-666 series, Ryan Douglas a 210-225-624 and Andrew Roberts a 203-207-212-622.

Dakoda Latford tossed a match-high 252 game, to go along with a 586 triple, to lead the Warriors.

AUSABLE FORKS —Roger Preston, a member of the B team, fired a match-high 245-197-196-638 series for the AuSable Valley boys at Riverside Lanes.

Brandon Ano added a 233-203-603 triple for the Patriots, while Mike McDonald rolled a 224 game and Jimmy Provost a 221.

Chris Fall tossed a 181 game and 494 series for the Chiefs, while Dalton Exford added a 182 game and 485 set.

Meanwhile, the Saranac girls picked up their first win of the season as Katie Downey had a 126 game and 332 triple.

Marissa Prentiss’ 120 game and 319 series led the Patriots.

PLATTSBURGH — Matt Jolicoeur’s 233 game and team-high 595 series led a balanced attack for the Northeastern Clinton boys at North Bowl Lanes.

Joey Robert added a 594 triple, Chris Kokes a 586, Kyle Sebert a 581 and Josh Frenya a 557 for the Cougars.

Josh Shaffer rolled a match-high 215-236-195-646 set in a losing cause for the Hornets.

Emily Rohrig’s 203 game and 483 series paced the Plattsburgh girls to their shutout. The top scores for NCCS were Brianna Smith’s 139 game and 411 triple.
