Section X takes Day 1, 4-2

(Continued)

PLATTSBURGH —

St. Regis Falls bolted out to a 37-13 lead at the half before Seton Catholic outscored the Saints, 32-26, in the second half.

“We were down as many as 31 points and the closest we got in the second half was the final score,” said Seton coach Larry Converse.

“They were on fire in the first half and we were as cold as they were hot. We were getting good shots, but not making them.

“The kids worked hard.”

PLATTSBURGH — The Blue Devils shot lights out from beyond the 3-point line, totaling 10 three-pointers, while Breton LaRose added 21 points in the win.

“(Ogdensburg) ran a lot of good sets in the half-court offense,” Beekmantown head coach Ryan Converse said. “They were able to get most of those shots off of screen and double screens. We had a tough time contesting shots and came out flat.

“We struggled to get something going offensively and that was the story of the game. We just didn’t have enough balance.”

Six-foot-seven-inch Keegan Ryan dropped 27 of his team’s 48 points, while Pawandeep Singh added six markers in the loss.
