AuSable Valley 64, Massena 50

PLATTSBURGH — The Patriots, down by nine at the half, went on a 20-3 run to open the second half to pull away.

“We played very good team defense,” said AuSable Valley coach Jamie Douglass. “Massena is very big and their 1-3-1 gave us trouble in the first half. We were tentative and they shot the ball well.

“But we put the pressure on to start the second half and went on a good run. We were able to tire them out. Plus, our players did a nice job filling their roles.”

John Goodnough led the Patriots (4-1) with 19 points and Zach Cosgrove added 18, including four three-pointers. Shane Douglas was a third AuSable Valley player in double figures with 12.

The Red Raiders held a 33-24 lead at the half before the Patriots outscored their foe, 40-17, after intermission.

Tyler Haas paced Massena with 12 points, while Robert Cameron and Joey LaBelle each finished with 10.

St. Regis Falls 63, Seton Catholic 45

PLATTSBURGH — Caleb Green scored the first 13 points of the game and St. Regis Falls (8-0) remained unbeaten.

Brandon Votra tallied a game-high 24 points for the Saints and Green followed with 21.

Adam Tedford paced the Knights with 16 points, followed by Nic Favreau with 10 and Kaden Baugh, nine.
