Brown helps Peru over PHS

---- — PERU — Alexandra Brown took first place on the balance beam and finished second in two other events Thursday to help give Peru a 157.6-143.95 victory over Plattsburgh High in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference gymnastics.

Brown recorded an 8.2 on the beam, and was second in the vault (8.2) and tied for second on the uneven parallel bars (7.6). In addition, Brown finished second in the all-around with 32.6 points.

The Indians’ Molly Lawliss tied for second on the bars (7.6) and placed second in the floor exercise (8.8). Peru’s Alexis Trombley was second on the beam (8.0) and tied Lawliss for third in the all-around (31.95).

The Hornets’ Dalen Keswick against was the top individual finisher, winning three events — vault (9.2), bars (8.7) and floor (9.4). Keswick also won the all-around with 33.75 points.
