Patriots topple Eagles in CVAC boys' bowling

AUSABLE FORKS — Going into Thursday, the Beekmantown boys’ bowling team hadn’t lost a point all season.

Not only did the Eagles lose a point to AuSable Valley, they lost the match held at Riverside Lanes.

Roger Preston tossed a 190-212-234-636 series and Josh Taylor added a 195-201-212-608 as the second-place Patriots recorded a 7-3 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference victory.

Jimmy Provost contributed a 214 game and 598 triple for AuSable Valley, while Charlie Lacy added a 225 game and 572 series, and Noah Martineau a 214 game and 560 set.

Ryan Munson powered Beekmantown with a 197-199-228-624 series, followed by Austin Delisle with a 213-222-599, Ryan Douglas a 200-206-589 and Andrew Baker a 247 game and 588 triple.

It was a very close match among the B teams, with one game being tied and total pins also being tied.

Meanwhile, the first-place Beekmantown girls blanked AuSable Valley 4-0 as Harley Wells rolled a 185-185-537 series and Sara Munson a 181-514.

Brooke SantaMaria’s 137 game and 362 triple were high for the Patriots.
