NAC wrestling takes down AuSable Valley

ELLENBURG — Northern Adirondack secured six pins Tuesday as it defeated AuSable Valley 68-9 in a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference wrestling meet.

Austin Trombley and Chad King started the night off with pins in the first two — 132 and 138. Deven Parent (152), Matt Lashway (182), Dallas Page (220) and Jace Filion (99) also pinned their opponents.

Leon Riley won by decision at 170 and Roland LaPoint won by technical fall at 113, while Brandon LaBombard, Reese Luebbers and Dustin Dominic won by forfeit.

One of the closest matches was Rusty Pombrio’s 3-2 decision at 126.

“Rusty Pombrio won the last match against Elijah Gainer,” Northern Adirondack coach Jamie Gilmore said. “Both wrestled very well and made it an exciting match to end the night.”

AuSable Valley’s Joe Leclair won by decision at 145, and teammate Kenneth Rivers won by forfeit.
