Over 100 compete in skills clinic, foul shot contest
PLATTSBURGH — Over 100 area basketball players attended a free skills clinic and foul shot contest hosted by the Clinton County Youth Bureau, Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department and SUNY Plattsburgh women’s basketball team.
The event was held at Memorial Hall Gymnasium on the Plattsburgh campus Jan. 13.

Winterfest 2014 curling registration now open
PLATTSBURGH — A curling competition will be held Feb. 1 at the American Legion Post 1619, while a practice session will occur Jan. 31.
The competition is open to four-person teams. To enter, those interested must register by Jan. 27. Participants will be charged $5 per person or $20 per team, which must accompany the registration.
Registration with donation is on a first come, first serve basis. A limited number of teams will be accepted for the tournament.
All proceeds will go to the Veterans Assistance Fund.
