“It felt good to win.”
The big blow in the game was a three-run homer by Joe Tolosky in the second inning, when the Cougars erased a 1-0 deficit and took a 4-1 advantage.
Russell Merrill also homered for Clinton, while Jamie Davison rapped out two hits and Chris Roenbeck hit a double.
The second game wasn’t a good one for the Cougars as Fulton-Montgomery broke it open early with a seven-run second inning.
Rock accounted for two of Clinton’s seven hits, and Kristian Sherman was the losing pitcher.
The Cougars are scheduled to play at Jefferson Community College on Saturday.
