---- — CCC softball games cancelled

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton Community College softball game scheduled for today with Fulton Montgomery CC has been cancelled. No makeup date has been announced.

Weather alters PSU baseball schedule

PLATTSBURGH —Due to the threat of poor weather conditions and other scheduling conflicts, the Plattsburgh State baseball team has made a pair of changes in its non-conference schedule.

Instead of heading to Canton today to take on St. Lawrence University, the Cardinals and Saints will play their nine-inning game at Tom Fay Field in Canton at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

As a result of a Norwich schedule change, the Cadets have been forced to cancel their game with the Cardinals originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Northfield, Vt. Norwich will be playing a conference series that was changed due to poor weather conditions.

Stick/puck, skating sessions set

PLATTSBURGH — Can-Am North Sports Arena will be open for stick-n-puck sessions Friday, from 7:30-9 p.m., and Sunday, from 2:30-3:45 p.m.

Also. the arena will be open for public skating Sunday, from 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Saranac Lake footrace to assist Skate Park

SARANAC LAKE — The 16th-Annual Olga Memorial Footrace, to benefit the Saranac Lake Skate Park, will be held Aug. 17, beginning at 9:30 a.m., from the village gree.

The event will include a 10K run and a 5K walk and run. Entry fee is $15 if mailed by Aug. 10 or $20 on race day Race-day registration will begin at 8 a.m.

Barracks Best Ball reset for April 21

PLATTSBURGH — The Barracks has rescheduled its Best Ball Tournament for this Sunday, April 21, starting at 9 a.m. The format is two man, women or mixed teams using full handicap with the Best Net Score being used.

Entry fee is $50 per team and includes skins. Non-members will be charged $25 for greens fees and cart.
