Saranac pulls past Northern Adirondack in second half in girls' NBL

ELLENBURG — Saranac used a strong second half to pull away from Northern Adirondack Wednesday as the Chiefs captured a 51-42 victory in girls’ Northern Baseball League.

“The score was 24-24 at the half,” Bobcats coach Jessica Barnhart said. “It was a very evenly matched game.

After being tied at the half, the Chiefs took a three-point lead after the third quarter, then outscored Northern Adirondack 11-5 in the final stanza.

Taylor Durnin led the way for the Bobcats with 10 points and nine rebounds. Jillian Scott and Makenna Magee each finished with seven points.
