PLATTSBURGH — The Gene’s Soccer Goalkeeper Clinic will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the Old Base Oval. Registration must be done by calling Gene Bushey at 645-3022.

Bobcat tournament has openings

ELLENBURG — Northern Adirondack Central School’s Bobcat Open still has several openings remaining for teams. The event will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 13 at Harmony Golf Course. The cost is $45 for members and $55 for non-members and includes golf and cart, closest to the pin, long-drive contests, as well as cash prizes to the top three teams and a dinner afterwards.

Masonic Summer Golf Tourney to be held at Willsboro GC

WILLSBORO — Iroquois Lodge #715 will be hosting the fourth-annual Masonic Summer Golf Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 24. The event benefits the lodge and all its beneficiaries. The four-person scramble will begin with a 10 a.m. shotgun start at the Willsboro Golf Club.

Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, cash prizes, individual contests and food and beverages throughout the day. The fee is $50 for club members and $60 for non-members. Inaugural Gallagher tourney on Aug. 26

SARANAC LAKE — High Peaks Hospice and Palliative Care will be hosting the inaugural Bill Gallagher Memorial Tournament Aug. 26 at the Saranac Inn Golf & Country Club. Gallagher was a beloved teacher and avid golfer who passed away in 2011.

Entry fee is $85 per person and $340 for a team of four. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and there will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The fee includes golf, cart, lunch and prizes. Teams or individuals can sign up and pre-registration is required by Aug. 16.

Peru Lions Club to host Hughes Classic

PERU — The Peru Lions Club will be hosting its 19th-annual Stanley Hughes Golf Classic Sept. 8 at The Barracks Golf Course. There will be a shotgun start at noon. The tournament is a four-person scramble with a team handicap of 40 and over.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. There will also be prizes for closest to the pin and closest to the crooked line. A buffet dinner will follow golf. The entry fee is $65 per person, $35 for members of The Barracks.
