Amelia Jenks' OT goal gives Chiefs win over Cougars

SARANAC — Amelia Jenks’ goal with three minutes remaining in the second overtime period helped Saranac to a Division I win over Northeastern Clinton in girls’ Northern Soccer League action Tuesday 3-2.

“It was a great back-and-forth game,” Chiefs coach Mary LoTemplio said. “Northeastern Clinton came to play. They had a penalty kick late in the second overtime with an opportunity to tie the game, too. Summer Gillespie, who went in briefly for Jamie Favreau in net, came up with the save. Both teams competed hard.”
