Bulldogs roll past Panthers

CHATEAUGAY — Chateaugay went off for 26 points in the second quarter and then held Brushton-Moira to just nine points in the second half as the Bulldogs cruised to a 63-38 win in Northern Athletic Conference play.

The Bulldogs held a 35-29 advantage at the half and then kept up their offense, scoring 28 points in the second half, while shutting down the Panthers.

“We really defensively stepped up in the second half,” Chateaugay coach Mike Mart said. “We forced them into a lot of turnovers.”

Brushton-Moira turned the ball over 33 times in the game.

Seth Young paced the Bulldogs with 20 points. Devon Barnes added 10 points, as did Noah Bowes. Both players also had 11 rebounds.

Adam Martin and Zach Burnett led the Panthers in scoring with 12 points each.
