State women’s

basketball hosts alumnae today

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State women’s basketball team will be hosting its 15th annual alumnae game today at Memorial Hall at 11 a.m. as part of its alumnae weekend festivities.

In addition to the alumnae game, all former Plattsburgh State women’s basketball players will receive free admission to the Plattsburgh State women’s basketball games this weekend. The Cardinals will play Buffalo State starting at 2 p.m.

Toys for Tots Dart Tourney Saturday

Peru native running strong at Oneonta

ONEONTA — Peru native Charles Remillard was a member of the 2012 Oneonta State Men’s cross country team. The team placed third in the SUNYAC Championship and placed 11th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship.

Remillard competed in four events during the season with his best finish in a 5k run being 25th at the Oneonta State Early Bird Invitational. His best finish in an 8k run was 54th at the Oneonta State Airfield Invitational.

Sports performance Clinic to be held

at the U.S. Oval

Recreation center

PLATTSBURGH — Champlain Valley Sports Performance (CVSP), formerly known as J&B Sports Performance, is hosting a sports performance clinic on Saturday, Dec. 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 30 from 12 to 2 p.m.

CVSP will be offering sports performance training/instruction for ages 8 to adult, including parents, coaches and groups. The clinic Certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches will teach participants proper body positioning, running/speed techniques, agility and plyometric and flexibility techniques. Groups/teams that join will learn proper team warm-up drills that focus on dynamic flexibility.
