Defense leads Clinton over Adirondack in OT

(Continued)

“In the first half we were pretty flat,” North Country coach Chad LaDue said. “There was no emotion and everything was just slow.”

North Country’s top producers were Steven Carder who had 20 points and Steven Poulter who chipped in 18 with 15 of those points coming from behind the arc. Michael Boyea and Ian Henderson each added nine points in the loss.

At the half the Saints were down by 10 and two quick baskets by Columbia-Greene to open the second put North Country in a tough position to battle back.

“We had to play out of character in the second half,” LaDue said. “We were slow to the ball and they hit some decent shots. We just didn’t have it tonight.”
