HERKIMER — Whitney Brown tallied 19 points to lead four players in double figures as the host Generals held on to defeat the Saints.

Herkimer (5-2) led 37-25 at halftime, but North Country made a strong run in the second segment.

“It was a good game, but we turned the ball over too much in the first half and gave up too many second-chance points,” NCCC Coach Jerrad Dumont said.

Former Peru standout Kelly Kezar scored 14 points to lead the Saints while Brushton-Moira products Haylea Gary and Emily Lapage chipped in with 13 and 12, respectively.

North Country is in Utica today to play Mohawk Valley Community College.
