NCCS girls' tennis bests Beekmantown

BEEKMANTOWN — Abbie Miller and Aurora Slater recorded two-set victories in the first two single matches, and Alexa Sorrell was pushed to three sets before prevailing in Northeastern Clinton’s 5-0 win over Beekmantown in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls’ tennis Wednesday.

Aryana Kellison and Andrea Mossey claimed the No. 1 doubles match, while Sarah Babbie and Ashley Boire won a tiebreaker in the second set to take the No. 2 match.

Singles

No. 1- Miller (NCCS) def. Stitt, 6-0, 6-1. No. 2- Slater (NCCS) def. Kalarash, 6-3, 6-2. No. 3- Sorrell (NCCS) def. Belrose, 6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 6-0.

Doubles

No. 1- Kellison & Mossey (NCCS) def. S. & T. Barrett, 6-1, 6-4. No. 2- Babbie & Boire (NCCS) def. Tallada & Putnam, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).
