Guay helps Indians over Patriots

PERU — Standout Jordan Guay was medalist on the day with an even-par 36 at Adirondack Golf & Country Club on Friday, leading Peru to a 4-2 victory over AuSable Valley in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference golf.

Kyle Miller and Noah Haber also won matches for the Indians, while Matt Nugent and Gavin Plimpton halved their matches. Plimpton carded a 45 and Miller was next with a 46.

The low round for the Patriots was turned in by Nate Devins, who shot a 43 while losing his No. 1 match to Guay.

Lucas Finnegan shot a 46 and picked up the lone win for AuSable Valley. Riley Taylor, who carded a 45, and Kyle Hart halved their matches.

No. 1- Guay (P) def. Devins, 36-43. No. 2- Finnegan (AVC) def. Lemza, 46-49. No. 3- Nugent (P), Hart halved, 49-49. No. 4- Plimpton (P), Taylor halved, 45-45. No. 5- Miller (P) def. Rennie, 46-53. No. 6- Haber (P) def. Hickey, 58-62.
