---- — Williams wins K of C free-throw contest
MASSENA — The Dannemora Knights of Columbus Council 2166 has announced that Griffin Williams has won the Northern Conference K of C 13-year-old age group free-throw contest. Williams had previously won both the Council and District level competitions.
Williams will now advance to the Upstate Regional Championship held in Syracuse. The winners in Syracuse move on to the state championship at West Point.
AuSable Valley wrestling tourney set for April 20
CLINTONVILLE — The AuSable Valley High School and Open Wrestling Tournament will be held April 20 at AuSable Valley Central School. Weigh-ins will be held from 9 to 10 a.m.
High school weights will include 99, 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220 and 285. Open weights will include 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, 220 and unlimited. Trophies will be awarded to the champions and medals for second and third places.
The tournament director has the right to combine weight classes. All periods will be 1.5 minutes and high school rules will apply. The entry fee is $20.

Church finishes sixth in four-man bobsled event
LAKE PLACID — Hunter Church, a 16-year-old sophomore at Saranac Central School, was part of a United States team that took sixth overall in an international four-man bobsled America Cup race over the weekend.
Church, a push athlete, was the youngest competitor in the event. He is in the USA Bobsled domestic development program as a two-man driver.
Last year, he won the Junior National Championship.
Malone t-ball, Little League to hold sign-ups
MALONE — The Malone AmVets t-ball and Little League programs will be holding their sign-ups from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, March 20 and 21, at the AmVets Club.
