Hart helps Patriots over Chiefs in golf

AUSABLE FORKS — Freshman Kyle Hart, who ran track last season, was medalist in his first varsity golf match with a 40 to lead AuSable Valley to a 4-2 victory over Saranac in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference play on Wednesday.

Nate Devins and Lucas Finnegan, two other freshman, picked up wins for the Patriots, along with sophomore Ian Rennie. Devins carded a 44.

Austin LaDieu was low man for the Chiefs with a 42 and won his No. 1 match, along with No. 2 player Jarett Wright.

No. 1- LaDieu (Sar) def. Perkett, 42-48. No. 2- Wright (Sar) def. Taylor, 47-48. No. 3- Hart (AVC) def. Staley, 40-48. No. 4- Devins (AVC) def. Z. Daniels, 44-69. No. 5- Rennie (AVC) def. N. Daniels, 46-54. No. 6- Finnegan (AVC) won by forfeit.
