OLMSTEDVILLE — Minerva/Newcomb used some daring base-running to rally past visiting Indian Lake/Long Lake, 3-2 in eight innings, to remain unbeaten.

Scored twice in the top of the sixth on an error, a base on balls. Emma Gray’s RBI single and an outfield miscue.
The Mountaineers forced extra innings with a run in the bottom of the seventh. Cheyenne Williams reached on an infield single, stole second and took third on a fielder’s choice. With two outs, Williams scampered home on a passed ball to tie the contest.
Dakota Bennett singled to left in the eighth, stole second and went to third on Winslow’s infield hit. Bennett then dashed home with the winning run on an infield error.
There were only five hits in the game, but seven errors. Jazzmin Piraino singled for the Orange fifth.
Williams, who relieved starter Shelby Hogan in the seventh, picked up the victory. Emma Gray, despite striking out 10, was tagged with the loss.

ELIZABETHTOWN — Jasmin Barnes and Emma Disogra each rapped out three hits and drove in five runs to power the Lions to victory in a game featuring 45 walks and 14 errors.
Disogra belted a pair of triples while Barnes chipped in with two doubles. Kylee Cassavaugh added a double and a single and stole two more bases. Jennifer McGinn also contributed a pair of hits.
Brooke Wheeler and Amanda James each had two hits for the visitors with James getting a double.
Elizabethtown-Lewis scored 12 runs in the bottom of the first.
