Section VII championship games rescheduled
PLATTSBURGH — Weather forced cancellations in both the Section VII Class B baseball title game between Beekmantown and Peru, and the Class C softball title game between Lake Placid and Ticonderoga Wednesday.
The Class B title game will take place today at 4:30 p.m. at Chip Cummings Field. The Class D baseball title game will now take place Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Chip Cummings Field.
The Class C softball title game is now scheduled for today at 2 p.m. at Plattsburgh State. The Class B title game between Peru and Saranac is scheduled to be played afterward at 4:30 p.m.
NCCS schedules spring athletes awards ceremony
CHAMPLAIN — Northeastern Clinton Central School will be holding its spring athletic awards ceremony at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 3 in the high school auditorium. All junior varsity and varsity athletes who participated on a spring athletic team are asked to attend the ceremony.
Athletes need to dress appropriately.
Plattsburgh Baseball Club tryouts rescheduled
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Baseball Club, formerly Plattsburgh Babe Ruth, has postponed tryouts until next Monday and Tuesday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. each night at South Acres Field.

Craumer memorial golf tourney July 13
PLATTSBURGH — The 3rd-Annual Ernest “Dutch” Craumer Memorial Golf Tournament is right around the corner and is looking for teams, hole sponsors, and raffle prizes. The golfers will tee off at 8 a.m. on July 13 at Bluff Point Golf Course.

Caligiore records first hole-in-one
LAKE PLACID – Lake Placid’s Aimee Caligiore, an employee of the Lake Placid Club Resort golf courses, recorded her first career hole-in-one on Tuesday, May 28 when her five-iron from 164 yards found the bottom of the cup on the par-three, 15th hole of the resort’s Mountain Course.
Eugene Govern, the Lake Placid Club’s new assistant professional, witnessed Caligiore’s ace. The 22-year-old local golfer, a former Lake Placid Blue Bomber, graduated from St. Lawrence University earlier this month as the only female in Saints history to achieve All-America status. She was also a two-time All East selection, and holds the SLU record for most career top 10s and most rounds in the 70s.
Ticonderoga Country Club to hold ladies’ event
TICONDEROGA — Ticonderoga Country Club will hold its annual ladies’ 18-hole Invitational Golf Meet on Wednesday, June 26. The theme will be “Viva Las Vegas” and there will be a theme prize for the most creative team golf attire.
A continental breakfast and registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., with tee-off time at 8:30 a.m. The format will be a two-person scramble. A luncheon at the restaurant will follow the tournament. The cost of $55 will include breakfast, lunch, greens fee, cart and prizes.

Dirty Dog Mud Run to be held at Titus Mountain
MALONE — The ever-growing sport of mud running and adventure racing has made its way to Malone. Champlain Valley Search and Rescue Canine Unit plans to host the first Dirty Dog Mud Run fundraiser at Titus Mountain Family Ski Center. The run consists of 20 obstacles spread out over seven kilometers up and down the lower mountain.
Champlain Valley Search and Rescue Canine Unit, or CVK9, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) K9 search and rescue team. They are specialized with the working dog and have support personnel to search for and rescue lost or missing persons. CVK9 also has an active technical rescue component to assist in land and water searches as well as natural or man-made disasters.
The Dirty Dog Mud run is going to be held on October at Titus Mountain. This event is rain, shine, or sleet and registration is open now. Racers can compete individually or in teams. PSU women’s soccer team to hold beach soccer tourney
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State women’s soccer team, on Saturday and Sunday, August 3 and August 4, will be hosting its second-annual Beach Soccer Tournament at the Plattsburgh City Beach.
The co-ed tournament will feature four divisions, including an open adult division for players 20 and older, an under-20 division, a teen division for players ages 13 to 15, and a pre-teen division for players 12 and under. The open adult division and the under-20 division will compete on Saturday, while the teen and pre-teen divisions will play on Sunday.
Teams will be comprised of five members each and at least one female player must be on the field at all times. The registration fee for the tournament is $100 per team. Co-ed softball tournament June 8-9
WEST PLATTSBURGH — The West Plattsburgh American Legion will be holding a co-ed softball tournament June 8-9.
The tournament will benefit women and children with cancer, and all proceeds will go to the Guardian of the Ribbon Northern New York Chapter.
Entry fee is $125 per team and the last day to enter is June 5. Trophies will be awarded.

Kehn records hole-in-one at Bluff Point
PLATTSBURGH — Ed Kehn hit a hole-in-one on the ninth hole at Bluff Point Golf Resort.
Kehn used a pitching wedge to record the ace, which was the first of his career.
Kevin Kehoe and Pete Pederson were witnesses to the shot.
