PORT KENT — The ALS Raising Hope Golf Tournament will be held Saturday with 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. shotgun starts at Harmony Golf Club. Lunch and a live auction will be held between the morning and afternoon shifts. Below is a list of teams competing, not the tee assignments.

Michelob Classic set for Bluff Point on Sunday

PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh Distributing’s Michelob Classic will be held Sunday at the Bluff Point Golf Resort. The Michelob has been held for more than 40 years and is an individual medal-play event played in four flights. There are as many as eight former champions in this year’s field. ADK to hold hike on Sunday

PLATTSBURGH — The public is invited to join the Algonquin Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club for a hike to Owens, Coppras and Winch Ponds in the Wilmington Notch on Sunday. This is a moderate hike. Contact leader Lynn Valenti at 562-0553.

Ganter wins AuSable fun run 5K

CLINTONVILLE — Twenty-two competitors braved the hot and humid weather at the July 15 fun run/walk held at AuSable Valley Central School. The series will continue on Mondays until Aug. 12. Registration at 5:30 p.m., and the first race is at 6 p.m.

AuSable Valley holds Alumni Swimming Meet

CLINTONVILLE — The first AuSable Valley Alumni Swimming Meet was held July 6. This year marks the 40th anniversary of swimming at AuSable Valley. There were 30 competitors at the meet, ranging from the Class of 1977 to current swimmers in the Class of 2017. There were also former coaches in attendance and more than 60 spectators.

Two new pool records were set. Ben Ford (Class of 2012) set the 100-meter backstroke record of 0:58.83 during the leadoff leg of the 400 relay. Andy Johnson (Class of 1996) set the 50 freestyle pool record of 0:22.34.

TC Skills Camp starts Aug. 12

High Peaks Cyclery holds youth mini-tri

LAKE PLACID — Fifteen enthusiastic and skilled kids swam, biked and ran at High Peaks Cyclery’s first youth mini-tri of the 2013 season. Patrick Welch was the overall winner with a time of 18 minutes, 45 seconds. The next youth mini-tri is scheduled for Aug. 12. Registration starts at 2:30 p.m., and the race starts at 3 p.m. The race can be completed solo or as a team. For more details, call High Peaks Cyclery at 523-3764.
