Plattsburgh bows out of LL state playoffs

CORNING — Plattsburgh’s run in the New York State Little League tournament ended with one bad inning on Sunday. Powerful Horseheads scored eight runs in the third inning on its way to an 11-1, 4 inning win, which eliminated the local all stars.

Plattsburgh’s Zachary Bieber was pitching well until he was struck with a line drive in the neck area and had to leave the game in the third.

Jacob Gregoire had an RBI single for Plattsburgh while Dominick Bordeau, Cody Peryea, and Andy LeBeau all had singles. Isaac Garman scored the lone run in a losing cause.

Plattsburgh will now return home and compete in their own local tournament this coming weekend at South Acres Park.
