“We came out prepared for this game,” Beekmantown coach Eric Bell said. “We played really well from the beginning. We put good at-bats together early in the game. We got some base runners and put pressure on the defense.”
Brandon Rabideau struck out six, walked one and scattered four hits in five innings to earn the win. He also added two hits at the plate. Brandon Buksa and Austin Bradish each had two hits and two RBI for the Eagles, and Adam Goldfarb also drove in two runs. Justin Stevens doubled.
“We have great team chemistry, and we hit the ball well today and we’re being smart on the bases,” said Buksa, a junior captain. “We played all-around good baseball.”
The Eagles play their final game at the tournament this morning.

Musselman 4, Plattsburgh High 1
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Tyler Gross went the distance pitching a two-hitter Friday to lead Musselman, West Virginia past Plattsburgh High.
Gross struck out six and walked one. The Hornets (0-3) used five pitchers, with starter Gerrit Rietsema getting the loss.
“It was a good game,” Plattsburgh coach Jim Manchester said. “Rietsema pitched well — the two runs in the second inning against him were unearned. Alex Follmer also pitched well at the end. He’s only a freshman.”
Rob Hartman and Garrett Manchester accounted for the Plattsburgh hits. The Hornets’ lone run was scored when Jack Tolosky stole third and came across on a throwing error.
Musselman tallied two runs in the second and one in the fifth before the Hornets cut their deficit to 3-1. Musselman then added a run in the top of the seventh.
Plattsburgh’s game on Thursday was rained out and there is still the possibility the Hornets will play a game today.
