Nicole Viscardo, Saranac Lake- Viscardo was also a member of the varsity softball team for three years. She shared duties on the pitching mound and was also a shortstop. Her batting average was .549 and she totaled 21 RBI. Viscardo also had four doubles and tossed 32 strikeouts. She will be attending Plattsburgh State next fall.
Jordy McDougall, Saranac Lake- A senior for the Red Storm, McDougall was a member of the varsity softball team for three years. She played first base and also helped out at shortstop. Her batting average was .487 this past spring. McDougall also helped the team with 12 RBI. She will be attending the University of New England in the fall.
Miranda Sheffer, AuSable Valley- A shortstop, Sheffer had an outstanding year at the plate, leading the Patriots in batting average at .611. She hit with power, belting five home runs, three triples and five doubles.
Logan Snow, AuSable Valley- Snow had a great year defensively and at the plate. She batted .420 with five doubles and two triples. At first base, Snow led the Patriots defensively by not committing any errors throughout the course of the season.
Kelsey Taylor, Lake Placid- Taylor was a senior catcher who also played varsity soccer and basketball. She will be attending Johnson State College in the fall.
Serina Hayes, Lake Placid- A senior pitcher, Hayes also played varsity volleyball. She will be attending North Country Community College.
Lauren Brace, Moriah- Brace was a junior catcher and a team captain. She accumulated a .615 batting average, including four home runs. Brace had 31 hits and an on-base percentage of .740 this spring. Each was a team-high.
Taylor Durnin, Northern Adirondack- The sophomore played catcher for the first time in her career this season and was excellent defensively and will only get better. She was also the team’s leadoff hitter and one of the top hitters on the team. She had a .385 batting average, .476 on-base percentage and 20 hits. Maybe her most impressive batting stat was striking out just four times all season.
