---- — Girls’ summer hockey league starts July 12
PLATTSBURGH – A girls’ summer 3-on-3 hockey league will be held on Friday evenings, begining July 12 at Ameri-Can North Arena in Plattsburgh.
The league will feature games from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Fridays until Aug. 23.
Girls from ninth grade to college level are welcome to skate.
The cost will be between $60 and $80 for the season depending on how many girls play.
Players from Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Tupper Lake and Malone as well as Clinton County are welcome to play.

NC Skating Club looking for coaches
ROUSES POINT — The North Country Skating Club of Rouses Point is actively seeking qualified coaches for its 2013-14 season.

2013 SAANYS Golf Tournament for July 14
PORT KENT — The 2013 SAANYS Tournament is scheduled for July 14 at the Harmony Golf Club in Port Kent and is slated for noon.
It will include a $15,000 hole-in-one provision.
The tournament raises funds for student scholarships.

NAVOB seeks volleyball officials
ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack Volleyball Officials Board (NAVOB) is looking for interested people to become volleyball officials for the 2013 high school season.
Training will start for officials in July and the season starts at the beginning of September for Section VII schools.

Town of Plattsburgh soccer registration
PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh is currently accepting registrations for the fall youth soccer program.
The program is open to boys’ and girls’ 6 to 14 years old. If there is enough interest, an instructional program will also be provided this year for children turning 5 years old by October 31.
This mini-mite session will be once a week at a park to be announced.
Parents can register their children for either program by registering online at: www.townofplattsburghrecreation.com or by completing a registration form at the Town Offices on Banker Road by July 15.
No registrations will be taken by phone and those signing up after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list. Those who pre-registered in April do not need to register again. For more information on either of these programs, contact the Recreation Department at 562-6860 or go to our website.
Kids Night festivities rescheduled at Thunder Road
BARRE, Vt. — The previously postponed Kids Night will now be part of ENPRO Services Night July 7 at Thunder Road, complete with the North East Mini-Stock Tour. The event will feature Kids Rides before a full card of racing action on the Barre, Vt., highbanks.
Kids ages 12 and under will have free admission and get a coupon for a free hot dog.
Stock cars from Thunder Road’s Late Model division, Tigers and Street Stocks will be lined up at 4 p.m. to give rides around the quarter-mile oval to kids in attendance.
The North East Mini-Stock Tour will join Thunder Road’s four divisions to complete a wild night of racing action.
